Dear FCL Global Community,

The Engagement Platform Team has focused on building for the future with AI. Recently, we launched our AI chatbot on the Engagement Platform, marking an important step toward improving user engagement and satisfaction. By providing tailored, relevant answers to visitors based on data and social media content from our current phase of FCL, we're laying the groundwork for a more personalised and impactful user experience.

But this is just the beginning. Our vision extends beyond this initial phase. Eventually, the chatbot will evolve into a powerful tool for researchers, helping them collaborate more effectively, access literature insights, and deliver innovative analysis to forecast future trends. The research data and feedback you contribute make this tool even more effective and impactful.

That's just one piece of the puzzle. We're also developing building blocks of AI for the future. With our implementation of a robust research data repository like Dataverse, we can collect, organise, and filter digital assets from current and past research. This building block is helping us develop a strong knowledge base that will be key to the next wave of innovation.

We're exploring scalable infrastructure solutions to support our growth and ensure we're ready for the future. This exploration includes leveraging data lake technologies from Cloud providers like Amazon Web Services (AWS) to store copies of data for our AI needs and tapping into supercomputing resources in places like the National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC) Singapore and the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS).

These resources will enable us to manage large-scale data and compute demands, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve as we scale our AI capabilities for the long term.

We're not just riding the wave of AI innovation, we're actively driving it forward, one step at a time.
