On 2 March, FCL Global Singapore Director Thomas Schroepfer hosted Peter Kuczia, founder of the international DesignEducates Awards, to discuss how FCL’s research can shape and influence design education. The DesignEducates Awards recognise projects that go beyond aesthetics, emphasising design’s role in pressing global challenges such as sustainability, resilience, and urban liveability. With FCL’s pioneering work in urban built environments, the discussion explored how opportunities to integrate its research insights into international design education frameworks. As the DesignEducates Awards jury includes world-renowned architects such as Toyo Ito, Winy Maas, Ben van Berkel, Francine Houben, and Alison Brooks, this engagement further strengthens FCL’s global presence in design discourse and opens avenues for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
